Tour Day 4Plan for the day:

Because I was ill in the morning ( too much wild boar?), Jon showed me some of the sites later that afternoon. In the slide show to the left, are some of the places at which they stopped. It was a good thing it was not reversed as it is Jon who remembers details. I was able to attend the Alabaster demonstration and the evenings event.

Following the wine tasting and the quick stop at La Vena di Vino, seen in the slide show to the right, we parted ways to figure out our dinner plans. Jon and I first choose a pizza shop. The place was not too crowded but there were several in front of us so we were silent at first. Finally as the person behind the counter took the obvious locals that came in after us, before us, I gave the man behind the counter a greeting (in my not so perfect) Italian even though he would not look in our direction. He continued to ignore us so we left frustrated. I tried to be polite and Jon unfortunately is not gifted when it comes to foreign languages. We ended up in a fancier restaurant and upon our entry, I immediately greeted the host in Italian . He was very pleasant and seated us at a table, which is when Colleen and Dimitri noticed us and invited us to dine with them. We ended up having a great evening. I am giving the person the benefit of doubt that he thought we were being rude by not greeting him immediately which could be the case. It may be he was just tired of tourists or having a bad day. We all have them. I debated posting this, but hope others can learn from it. I believe we did and our trip wasn't ruined.
